(1) Healthy RC is found on the Let's Move!'s blog! Learn more. (2) In December of 2012, the City of Rancho Cucamonga passed a comprehensive Complete Streets ordinance. The policy enhances and helps formalize existing Complete Streets efforts undergoing in the City and as identified in the City’s General Plan. This policy was made possible through a great collaboration with our City Departments (including Engineering, Public Works, Planning, GIS, City Manager’s Office), community partners (Friends of the Pacific Electric Trail), and local residents & youth. This policy was just recognized by the SGA & National Complete Streets Coalition as one of the top 10 municipal policies in the nation! Learn more. (3) The City of Rancho Cucamonga is ranked #1 (shared with five other cities) among all participating cities in Let’s Move! Cities, Towns, and Counties (LMCTC). Ranking is based on 5 key priority areas in which the City received 4 “gold medals” in 5 categories to improve healthy eating and active living initiatives. Learn more. |
